Taylor & Dallas

Wedding 2020

"Dallas and I met a couple of summers ago at Hammons Field. I was working as a Louie girl and he was there watching the game with his friends, and happened to be chosen as a contestant for the Dominoe's Pop-Up Challenge. Making small talk while waiting for his promotion game to start, we hit it off right away. Me and my friends made plans to go to Steak and Shake after the game with his group of friends. I soon found out that they were all just here to play baseball for the Show-Me League for the summer from Austin, Texas. We spent the rest of the summer inseparable, showing them around Springfield and going to watch their baseball games. Finally, he asked me out on a real date, and soon after asked me to be his girlfriend. He went back to school in August, but was persistent in making this long-distance relationship work. After over 2 years of long Facetime calls and 9 hour road trips, we are so excited to be getting married this July in the state where it all started."- Taylor (Bride)

"I actually met Taylor at another wedding I was photographing at the Diamond Room in Springfield. She was related to the bride and groom and had just gotten engaged that week. She chose their wedding inside the selfie booth to show her mom her engagement ring for the first time. I remember thinking, no way! That is the best way to let mom know about the engagement. It was fun to chat with her and her fiance' at the wedding. Later, we met again at a Miranda Lambert concert at JQH and she ran up to me saying that she follows me on Instagram and that she wants me to photograph her wedding. We met up soon after and planned an engagement session on Historic C-street in Springfield. I can still hear them laughing when I look at these photos. I am glad that my last session in Springfield for awhile was spent with these remarkable people and I can't wait for their July 4th wedding!" -Shelby (Photographer)
